We are thrilled with the great news that we have once again been nominated for the CSRD Award 2025! As the winner of the CSRD Award 2024 in the SME category, it feels extra special to be among the 11 nominated companies again this year. It is a fantastic initiative that puts CSRD reporting on the map, and that is why we are happy to join once more this year. We believe in making the textile industry more sustainable together, and we are honored to represent this goal alongside the other frontrunners.
CSRD Report
Transparency is deeply embedded in Schijvens’ DNA, and we are proud to demonstrate this in our CSRD report. Since our first sustainability report in 2010, we have been reporting on the challenges related to corporate social responsibility. In doing so, we provide insight into our ecological and social developments.
For example, the benefits of our collaboration with Raddis Cotton, which helps ensure that the cotton we use is produced in a natural and safe way. Or our projects aimed at paying a living wage in the factories we work with, enabling us to maintain a fair and responsible production chain.
As a company, we strive to be involved in every step of our production process. That is why, together with our suppliers, we have mapped our total environmental impact per product group. Our factories have indicated how much water, energy, gas, and electricity they consume, and what proportion of this is green energy. This gives us a clear picture of where the greatest environmental gains can be achieved.
This is why we are now focusing on improving conditions in the dyeing facilities. We have learned that, surprisingly, more pollution occurs here than during the transportation of our products.
