How do you make clothes without wasting a thread? Schijvens Corporate Fashion produces work clothing of 50 percent recycled work clothing and 50 percent recycled plastic. No new raw materials are added, so production is completely circular. Watch the short video and learn all about Schijvens’ circular business model.
The circular model of Schijvens
The textile industry is one of the most polluting industries worldwide. Family business Schijvens contributes to a sustainable solution. Nearly 70 percent of the corporate clothing produced is now fully circular.
Schijvens designs and produces sustainable corporate clothing. You will find their clothing everywhere: in drugstores, catering establishments, supermarkets, hardware stores and many other companies. Schijvens sees the reuse of textiles as a necessity. The further development of new technologies in the field of circular entrepreneurship has resulted in the first 100 percent recycled corporate clothing.
100% recycled corporate fashion
With its own return system, Schijvens collects old work clothing from customers. This is then ground into fibers and mixed with fibers from recycled PET material, fishing nets and sportswear. From these recycled fibers, “new”, 100 percent recycled corporate clothing is made. No new raw materials are added in this way.
For Schijvens, sustainable production also means that workers in foreign factories receive living wages and work under good conditions. Therefore, the company only has clothing produced in factories where social conditions are regularly monitored.
ABN AMRO is the proud financier of Schijvens in its circular ambitions.
