Last week we welcomed our 44 Turkish colleagues from the UFS factory at Schiphol. They came especially to the Netherlands to celebrate our 160th anniversary together with the rest of the team. A historic moment that we do not want to let pass by.
We had organized a very entertaining program for this week. Our Turkish colleagues visited Amsterdam, but this week was also about the company and getting to know all the different parts. For example, they visited our fitting locations in Amsterdam and ‘s-Hertogenbosch and went to our distribution center in Bladel. The team received a tour of all our locations to see how we work per location and at the same time met all their Dutch colleagues. From there we went to our head office in Hilvarenbeek, which had been converted into a party location especially for this day. Everyone was dressed in blue for a group photo on the Vrijthof with the entire company. For the first time we were together with the entire team, a special moment.
The evening arrived and the party could begin. Hutten served delicious dishes all evening and there was a DJ who kept everyone dancing. There were speeches and a nice gift for the 160th anniversary from the employees could not be missed this evening. We danced a lot, laughed a lot, but most of all we had a really good time together!
To give our Turkish colleagues a better feeling about the clothing they make, we also visited various customers to show the clothing in the stores. This includes customers such as NS, AH, Sligro, Makro, Hema, Etos, Smullers and Kiosk. We ended this visit at keilekker.nl where we all enjoyed a halal sausage roll.
And so unfortunately our week came to an end. What an incredible time we had! It will remain in our memory as a special chapter in the 160-year history of Schijvens Corporate Fashion. We would like to thank everyone for their involvement and contribution to this fantastic week. Here’s to another 160 years, together with our great team!
